With a $8 billion investment intended to improve training opportunities and enhance its U.S. manufacturing capabilities, LG is laying the groundwork for a big shift toward electric HVAC systems. The initiative's congruence with the growing trend towards electrification in the United States, driven by decarbonization efforts, consumer incentives for efficient systems, and technology developments, was emphasized by Steve Scarbrough, senior vice president and general manager.
A portion of LG's investment will be used to open more training facilities in Massachusetts, Illinois, and Alabama. These facilities will educate consumers about the advantages of electrification while also fortifying the supply chain.
